Post extraction INSTRUCTIONS to patients - The feeling of numbness will begin to wear off within 1 hour to 3 hours - Maintain firm biting pressure on the cotton for 45 mins - Any blood stains or saliva during these 45 mins, not to spit outside - Soft, liquid, bland, semisolid diet to be recommended or first 24 to 48 hours - Avoid using of straw, vigorous rinsing, sneezing etc during this time - It is normal for the extraction site to bleed slightly or ooze blood for 12 to 24 hours following surgery - Please take the medications as indicated by your doctor - In case of stitches given, report to the clinic after 7 days, for stitches removal & follow up
